2. Process each item by categorizing it and identifying its next action.
3. Organize your items into lists and files.
4. Review your lists and files on a daily and weekly basis.
5. Do the actions of the items on your lists.
And 8 GTD lists and files:
1. Next Action items are single action tasks to be done as soon as possible.
2. Calendar items are single action tasks due on specific dates.
3. Project items contain your multiple action projects.
4. Project Plans contain the vision, outcomes, key ideas and next actions of your projects.
5. Waiting For items require somebody else to work on them.
6. Someday/Maybe items are potential projects and tasks.
7. Tickler files contain items that need to be re-examined at a future date.
8. Reference files contain information that may be useful in the future.
