*VIDEO: Getting Things Done® in 3 Minutes

Getting Things Done (GTD®) is certainly among the classics in the personal productivity field. More than a decade after its publication it’s still powerfully popular. The simple reason for its success is that it works. Even if you don’t implement every aspect of GTD, there are plenty of ideas you can use in your daily workflow.

We’re excited to be able to contribute to the GTD experience with our video: Getting Things Done in 3 Minutes. We think it will prove valuable as a starting point or a review for GTD novices, intermediates and experts.

But don’t take our word for it, take a look yourself at Getting Things Done in 3 Minutes:

As you can see from the video there are 5 GTD workflow steps:
1. Collect all of your files, papers, projects, tasks & ideas.
2. Process each item by categorizing it and identifying its next action.
3. Organize your items into lists and files.
4. Review your lists and files on a daily and weekly basis.
5. Do the actions of the items on your lists.

And 8 GTD lists and files:
1. Next Action items are single action tasks to be done as soon as possible.
2. Calendar items are single action tasks due on specific dates.
3. Project items contain your multiple action projects.
4. Project Plans contain the vision, outcomes, key ideas and next actions of your projects.
5. Waiting For items require somebody else to work on them.
6. Someday/Maybe items are potential projects and tasks.
7. Tickler files contain items that need to be re-examined at a future date.
8. Reference files contain information that may be useful in the future.

And now you can start Getting Things Done by watching our 3 minute video.
